Charlotte Westies Monthly Dances

Join us September 14th for Charlotte Westies’ next Saturday night dance! The evening kicks off with a pre-dance intermediate lesson taught by the always fun, Stephanie Risser.

Stephanie began studying dance at an early age, starting with Ballet. After earning a BFA in Dance Pedagogy at the University of Hartford/School of the Hartford Ballet, she taught in Pennsylvania and Connecticut before moving to Charlotte. She has an incredibly broad dance background including performing and teaching West Coast Swing, Hustle, Ballet, Ballroom, Modern, Jazz and Latin. Stephanie is a West Coast Swing All-Star and a Hustle dance champion. She is a co-owner of Swustlicious, an annual WCS/Hustle crossover event in Philadelphia, and owner of C.A.S.H. Bash in Cleveland which is also an annual WCS/Hustle crossover event. She is proud to share her versatility, personal style and dance knowledge with anyone who wants to learn!

In addition to the intermediate lesson, Charlotte Westies is pleased to offer a separate beginner lesson during the same time frame (8:00-9:00 PM). So even if you or your friends have never danced West Coast Swing, here’s your chance to see for yourself why this dance has become so popular worldwide.

Private Lessons Available!

The Bearded Buffalo is the same wonderful place you come to for our awesome Wednesday night weekly dances! This location allows us to offer two things we haven’t been able to do in the past:

• A separate pre-dance lesson for beginners rather than turn them away, or expect them to try and keep up with the intermediate-level lesson.
• The opportunity for all of our Charlotte Westies instructors to offer private lessons in the afternoon prior to the evening event. Please see the instructor page for complete details.
